With crazy gas prices, people are looking for in motorcycle mileage gas. More people are thinking of motorcycles to reduce gas costs. I have received more than 50mpg in my 2004 Road King Custom, which has a five-speed transmission. The new six-speed, no doubt give you better mileage.
As can see from the list below, Harley-Davidson motorcycles get great gas mileage ranging from about 53mpg for the grand Screamin Eagle Ultra Classic and the Screamin DYNA Eagle, both of 110 cc engine to about 60mpg for the Sportster 883.
If you are considering a motorcycle to reduce fuel costs, take into account the type of driving you're going to do. If you're considering a Sportster 883 to go to work and back, remember the types of roads will be traveling. The Sporster gets great gas mileage, but I like to spend much time on the road with him. If you will be doing a lot of road riding, I would like to consider something bigger. Either way, you save money on gas and have fun doing it. Here is a list of mileage estimate for Harley.
